Commissioning of the Twelve Apostles
The Apostles of Christ will stand out in the History of the Church, like the brilliant stars of spiritual life. On June 30, the Church celebrates the twelve Apostles that the Lord initially chose, except for Judas Iscariot. They are: Simon (Peter), Andrew, James, John, Philip, Thomas, Bartholomew (Nathaniel), Matthew, James of Alphaeus, Simon the Zealot, Judas the brother of James the Younger, and Matthias, who was elected in the court of eves of Pentecost, in place of Judas Iscariot. The life of each of these Apostles, we outline in their special holidays. The feast of the Synagogue is a reminder of the unity that connected them, but also of their morality, which contributed so much to the spiritual rebirth of the world in Christ.
